Q: Why aren't you using an automated order/checkout system?
A: The short answer is, automated ordering systems don't work well for custom orders. Every fly you order will be tied for YOU specifically. We want to treat you as a valued customer, not as an order number.

Q: There are a LOT more fly patterns out there.. Where are the Jock Scotts? Why only these? Can I order other patterns?
A: The flies Jed selected for this site offer a balanced cross-section of what you are likely to need almost anywhere you find Atlantic Salmon. Should you find that guides are recommending a specific pattern, or you're looking for another pattern, contact Jed at Jeddy@FliesByJed.com , and he'll work with you to get you the flies you're looking for.

Q: What about Full-Dress Flies?
A: Due to the substantial difference in price and the plethora of effective hairwing patterns now available, whole Featherwing, Built-Wing, and Mixed-Wing flies are not typically offered. If you have a burning desire to try a fishing version of the classics, contact Jed at Jeddy@FliesByJed.com; he will provide a price quote to you. Be advised - these flies take much longer to dress, and will be priced accordingly.
